Hi and welcome to Kiera Halloran Physiotherapy, a Musculoskeletal and Sports injuries clinic based in Henley and surrounding areas.
Kiera set up as a sole trader in August 2020 whilst working as a Senior Physiotherapist locum in the NHS. At this time she was redeployed to community rehabilitation ward to help in the efforts to support the NHS during the peaks of the COVID-19 pandemic. The idea was to work casually alongside full time work, seeing the occasional client who needed specialist physiotherapy input. Things soon took off and Kiera realised she would have to drop a day of her NHS work to keep up, and that’s how things have been since.
Kiera is a Henley local who has always been passionate about fitness and sport. She plays for Henley ladies 1st XI hockey team and enjoys regular exercise, walks, skiing and being outdoors. Physiotherapy seemed like a no brainer for her as she could combine her love for health and fitness with her caring and empathetic personality. Physiotherapy also offered Kiera a variety of career options and progressions to keep her engaged and match her drive to learn and develop.
She graduated from The University of Hertfordshire with upper second-class honours in 2017 and picked up the ‘Di Davies Award of Professionalism’ along the way, an award voted for by faculty staff and peers.
Kiera started her first post graduate job at The Royal Berkshire Hospital in June 2017 working across an array of rotations (different areas of health and medicine). However, her passion always lay in sports and musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy so she left to spend two years working in a specialist MSK and sports injury clinic where she attended several extra training courses, underwent a comprehensive development programme and spent time working with specialist consultants.
Kiera now works as a Senior MSK Physiotherapist in the NHS in an innovative and reputable trust and works her business alongside this. She prides herself on her experience and knowledge and works hard to provide her clients the highest standard, evidence based, effective and efficient care. From managing chronic back pain to diagnosing, treating, and rehabbing acute sports injuries. Her thorough approach to care is a recipe for excellent outcomes. This is reflected in her feedback from patients and colleagues as well as achievements over the years (see qualifications and feedback pages).
Kiera has strong working relationships with local orthopaedic and sports medicine consultants, strength and conditioning coaches, massage therapists, advanced practitioner and sports physiotherapists meaning if it is not something, she can help with she will find the right person who can.
